We are looking for more than just technical skills. We want enthusiastic, freethinking individuals who take an interest in users of their software. Developers who enjoy working in small teams. Brainstorming with colleagues. Designing, building and maintaining efficient, reusable code. Delivering functional, responsive applications.
We provide every opportunity to extend your skills. For example, at BSL you can learn to develop apps for mobile platforms (iOS, Android) using Cordova/Phonegap.
Education
Technical College or University level (equivalent to the Dutch HBO-ICT / HIO, or WO-ICT).
Skills: Junior Software Developers
- Experience of Java or PHP programming
- A talent for writing clean, readable code
- For Front-end developers
Some experience of HTML/CSS and JavaScript
Some experience of Java GUI frameworks or open source PHP CMS platforms
- For Back-end developers
Experience with JDBC, JSON, XML and RESTful web-services
- Some “Nice to haves”
Familiarity with scripting tools
Experience with popular web application frameworks

Location
With more than 25 years of experience, the Bright Side of Life development teams excel in the development of custom software. Most of the time you will work at our well-equipped, modern and informal offices in Breukelen. Easy to reach by car (near the A2, and free parking), or by public transport (easy connection to Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam and Den Haag).
