The Bright Side of Life team recently put their golfing skills to the test by enjoying a round of pitch & putt at the beautiful countryside location of Kameryck. It also gave everyone the opportunity to say farewell to our intern, Vit Sochor, before he left BSL for a new fulltime position in Poland.
We’re developers – not golfers
Well, to be honest, some of us had more ‘skill‘ than others. Perhaps here at the Bright Side we’re not quite up to the standards for the next PGA tour – yet….
Kameryck – a great afternoon
The afternoon in Kameryck began with coffee and cakes (always a good start!), followed by a brief coaching session for those not familiar with the technique and rules of pitch & putt (i.e. most of us!). Once we’d been divided into several groups, we were then ready to be let loose on the 9-hole course.
Suffice it to say that a few BSL’ers spent more time looking for the golf ball in the surrounding bushes/fishing it out of the water than actually hitting it. Some amongst us, on the other hand, were rather more proficient, with Vit even scoring a hole-in-one! Despite the competitive (albeit friendly) spirit amongst the teams, a fun afternoon was had by all.
The warm summer weather was an added bonus – we made the most of the evening sunshine, enjoying a delicious three-course meal on the outside terrace (together with a drink or two), before heading reluctantly for home.
