MIPS payment system improved. On behalf of NBD Biblion, BSL has developed new functionality that enables payment and review information to be sent digitally to their reviewers, so replacing the current paper workflow via the post.
NBD Biblion
NBD Biblion is a leader in the field of media management, and the most important provider of information and acquisition advice for public libraries and (school) medialabs in the Netherlands. Every month, they receive hundreds of new titles (books and multimedia) that are reviewed and described in weekly reports that they distribute to their clients.
Reviewers
NBD Biblion produces weekly ‘purchase advice’ for libraries and other organisations as part of their AIDA system. A team of reviewers play an important role in the production of the reviews, and each receives an overview of payments made and examples of their reviews by post. NBD Biblion asked BSL to develop a custom-made solution to automate this process.
Instead of manually creating and sending payment and purchase information, new functionality means that these forms can be generated automatically for each reviewer, and then distributed via e-mail.
MIPS payment system improved
The introduction of these new functions to MIPS will provide NBD Biblion with time and cost savings when creating and sending these documents. What’s more, the reviewer is able to save and archive the forms locally.
