Reception system for visitors

In 2022, we designed and developed a new reception system for visitors and other businesses in our building in Breukelen. Our first challenge was to create an entirely new design, as the previous system needed a fresh look. We also wanted to add several new features.

Our building is home to several businesses, so we designed the reception system to help visitors find the right office and show them where to go. Each company can add appointments to the agenda, and we automatically display their office location alongside each agenda item. Companies can also add their company news, shown interchangeably with articles from nu.nl.

Uniquely, our system changes to reflect the current weather, and time of day, using moving backgrounds that match the weather and local time. These backgrounds and a range of layouts serve to protect the screen, automatically switching between content selections throughout the day.
