Pulse is a custom news alert system developed by BSL on behalf of a large international consultancy concern. And now Pulse goes mobile. Our engineers are working on a mobile version of this real-time news system, giving end-users access to the information they need, anywhere and at any time!
Content is king!
Hosted in the Netherlands, Pulse scans high-value news articles from around the world, classifying and distributing the most interesting content to subscribers. The system supplies more than 2,500 news articles every day to more than 7,000 of our client’s employees, and has access to some 10 million news articles. A unique real-time system that reads and classifies more than 200,000 new articles daily, including articles from providers such as Factiva, Gartner, Forrester, and IDC.
Pulse goes mobile. Subscribing to Pulse news via mobile devices
Until recently Pulse delivered content to subscribers by e-mail, and via the corporate portal, selecting the most important and relevant articles based on each end user’s preferences.
Over the last year BSL has worked together with imgZine to ensure that Pulse goes mobile. This means Pulse will be made available as a native app on mobile devices. End users will be able to quickly and easily browse all available news alerts, and subscribe to the news alerts in which they are interested, directly from their mobile devices. After subscribing, they will automatically receive news updates by email and via the app. The app has been extensively tested by a selected group within our client’s company over recent months, and their reactions have been overwhelmingly positive. Right now we are adding the finishing touches to the app and associated web-services, so that all employees will soon be able to receive Pulse news alerts on their mobiles, wherever they may be.
